Don't Cry Ally Trevino 9781479786688 Books

Don't Cry is an intense examination of the life of an emotionally and physically abused boy. The writer leads me down a path of chaos and anguish with stunning symbolism. The intensity in which Trevor must confront his own demise while face down in a bowl of cereal brings the dilemma of death vs. sustenance to the forefront and gives the reader a real sense of his quandary. The guitar, Claire represents order and harmony while Russell, the hobo embodies freedom and compassion. In the tradition of The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, this is an extraordinary detailed examination of fictitious abuse and neglect. This book is an amazing accomplishment for such a young author and an astonishing read.

I read this book and I thought it was great! I will defiantly be reading it many times over again!
This is the kind of book you read and then keep thinking about. Don't be fooled by the teenage romance- Trevor is a character you will always remember. Of course I cried, but I laughed too... Fantastic Emotions.
I Loved the book! what a great Author! she is only 14 years old and this is her first published book! wow! Amazing! if your looking for a emotional book to read and enjoy, this would be the one! the ending was great! the title of the book is right on! you have to read this book!
my goodness that ending! I connected with it in such a personal way with him finding himself and everything...it's so powerful. That ending was perfect. I am quite glad he didn't end up with Q in the end. My goodness that part where bell was gothic made me almost cry. I did cry on the last page. It's so emotional and such a perfect title that holds so much meaning. It was a sad ending in some ways, but it ended up being such a evolution for him and an overall lesson. That millionaire thing is genius! I really don't know how do it! I'm so blown away by how unbelievably talented and structured you are with your writing ally. Proud to know you
This was a book written with a mature outlook and story. This book really had me from the beginning. The characters in this were very captivating in a sense that they grabbed your attention. You become a part of Trevor's world in the sense that you are wondering what he will go thru next from one page to another. I couldn't but help to sympathize with this kid. But Miss Trevino really thought this out concerning her characters and how to deliver them in her book. Fantastic reading material. It had gotten to me so much that it hits close to home in some areas. It hits you on an emotional level. I got choked up from what was happening in the last few chapters. Good book. Really Good book. You won't be disappointed if/when you decide to read it.
